FEATS OF THE WEEK: Seven-foot Ohio St. recruit Greg Oden led No. 1 Indianapolis, Lawrence North past 6-11 Illinois-bound Brian Carwell and Maywood, Ill., Proviso East, 72-59, at the Circle City Classic Challenge of Champions Showcase in Indianapolis. Oden, the nation's top-ranked player, notched 31 points and 16 rebounds to Carwell's nine points and eight rebounds. Also at the Showcase, regionally ranked Indianapolis, Pike beat then-regionally ranked Milwaukee, Rufus King, 67-59 . . . No. 2 Mouth of Wilson, Va., Oak Hill routed then-regionally ranked Herndon, Va., 106-74, at the DC DunkFest at Dumfries, Va. The Warriors got 32 points from 6-10 Charlotte recruit Michael Beasley and 24 from North Carolina-bound point guard Tywon Lawson. Event host regionally ranked Potomac nipped Owings Mills, Md., McDonogh, 55-54, for its 57th consecutive regular season victory . . . Junior forward Tyrone Shelley of San Diego, Crawford scored a section-record 76 points in just under three quarters on the floor during a 138-29 drubbing of Burlington Central of Ontario, Canada.
